In this study, a binary matrix model of a closed circuit ball milling with a cyclone for the UG2 ore was presented. Conventionally these closed mill cyclone circuits operate with high circulating loads, between 200 and 400% and generally produce milled product at a specification of 80% less than 75 micron, which is required to liberate the PGMs.
